TV Shows I’m Excited For In 2019

Even before the New Year, I knew that this was going to be a good year, so I set attainable goals. And I’m already well on-track to complete my 2019 reading challenge. I’ve seen a lot of great films lined up for the year that I’m super excited for. You know it’s going to be a great year for the film industry when there are multiple Marvel films, another X-Men prequel, the final episode in the third Star Wars trilogy, and three live-action Disney films! In addition to the great line-up of movies this year, I’m also super excited for the following TV shows to return with new seasons:

1) A Game of Thrones

On April 15th, A Game of Thrones returns in its final season. As sad as I am that the show will soon be over, I’m extremely excited to see the action-packed final season. I have some high hopes for this season as well as things that I would love to happen. Although the show has gone a completely different direction than the books so far, I am in love with the universe in both formats. I’m also really excited for the next book in A Song of Ice and Fire series.

2) Anne With an E

The third season of Anne with an E will be airing sometime in late 2019. Based off of the Anne of Green Gables novels, this TV show is full of nostalgia for lovers of Anne! I love this show so much so I hope that it’s around for a few more seasons after this one! The cast and crew on this production make it such a beloved retelling of one of my favourite tales. Watching this show makes me want to reread Anne of Green Gables.

3) The 100

The sixth season of the post-apocalyptic show called The 100 returns on April 30th. I have watched this show from its initial release and it has long been one of my favourites. Although the first couple of seasons were my favourites, I am still in love with the characters so I’m okay more seasons being made. This hasn’t been confirmed as the last season yet but there also haven’t been any season seven announcements.
