5 Things I Want to do This Summer

The weather is getting warmer and that means that summer is finally here. It’s my first summer working in my career but that doesn’t mean that I still can’t have fun and adventures.

#1: Go to a cottage.

There’s something relaxing about spending a week at a cottage. Luckily, I already have plans to go to my stepmom’s family’s cottage with her, my dad, and my baby sister (of course, my fiancé will be there too and I’ll definitely get in trouble for not mentioning it). It’s going to be such a fun week, I’m really looking forward to it.

#2: Read as many books as possible.

I’ve been reading so much this year and I don’t want the momentum to stop over the summer. Normally, I read less in the summer but I don’t want that to happen this summer. It does make it easier that I commute for 2 hours every day, so I can get the majority of my reading done there. I’m going to be sharing more in next week’s summer reading challenge post.

#3: Have a picnics.

I absolutely love having picnics. I don’t do them as often as I would like to but it’s something I really would like to do this summer. Normally, we go down to the park by the lake to have burgers on my mom’s portable BBQ. I’d be happy with something like that or even more simple. No matter how it happens, I want to have a few picnics this summer.

#4: Go to a wine tour.

I’ve always wanted to go to a winery but I’ve never ended up going to one. I want to change that this summer. And since I love wine, I think going to a couple of wineries would be a perfect summer outing.

#5: Go to a zoo.

I know that zoos are controversial but please leave that out of this space. I just want to enjoy going to see cute animals with my family and friends. There have been a lot of talks about going to a zoo already so I’m very optimistic that I’ll be able to go.
